About
Me

I'm Yijing Fang, I am a fashion designer driven by a research-based approach that merges aesthetics, philosophy, and cultural critique. My work often explores the intersections of technology, nature, and society, using garments as speculative narratives that question how we define beauty, confront consumerism, and imagine possible futures. With experience in both experimental material exploration—such as thermo-sensitive textiles—and critical storytelling inspired by literature, cinema, and philosophy, I strive to create designs that are not only visually striking but also intellectually engaging. My practice is rooted in the belief that fashion can be more than clothing: it can be a medium of inquiry, dialogue, and transformation.

Having studied at the University of Southampton, I've honed my skills in [specific skills or techniques, e.g., draping, pattern making, sustainable design], which are evident in my collections. My designs often draw inspiration from [sources of inspiration, e.g., nature, art, urban landscapes], and I strive to create garments that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and ethical.
